Combine two ISP's

Hi,

I have two isp's one of 2Mbps and another of 3Mbps with static ips. The requirement is to combine the two isp's to a single ip so that the site is up all time and avoids ip swtiching. Also i need the output to be the sum of  the two isp's ie. 5Mbps. Is there any feature using which this can be done.

I have researched a bit and have found multi-homing. But am not clear with the configuration as well as the technical idea.

Hope that it helps myself and any others who wish to do the same.

Hi,

Combining 2 WAN links from 2 ISPs as one is not possible if you use IP addresses provided by the ISPs and I'm not even sure it can be achieved with provider independent addresses. If you had 2 links from same ISP and provided they support this feature then you could use MLPP(Multilink PPP) and assign the IP to the multilink interface which bundles the 2 interfaces.

Regards

Alain
