Compact flash card with 4510R switch

Hello,

simple question....we have a Cisco 4510R switch with a compact flash slot and I'm thinking of buying a CF card.

What I want to do is to be able to copy IOS images on the CF card from my windows pc and transfer it to the bootflash on the switch.

So my question is :  when you format your CF card on the switch, is it still readable in windows (is it fat16/32) ?

thanks

Maximum size of the CF be <2Gb (Type 2).   It can be read by Windows as NTFS (if memory serves me correct) but I wouldn't recommend.
