Hi experts,
I am confused between two statement:
2102:
Ignores break.
while reading through password recovery mechanism and said that
Power on router again
press break key.
How come it accepts break if config-register is 2102.
May be it very easy to understand but I am not able to. Please help.
Regards
Mahesh

Yes Mahesh this is the meaning, it is done when router is reloading.
There is another command "no service password-recovery" you can find information about it on this link:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3/12_3y/12_3ya8/gtnsvpwd.html#wp1027265
Best regards,
Alex
EDIT:
The configuration register can be used to change router behavior in several ways, such as:
how the router boots (into ROMmon, NetBoot)
options while booting (ignore configuration, disable boot messages)
console speed (baud rate for a terminal emulation session)

Hi Mahesh,
0x0100
Controls the console Break key:
•(Factory default) Setting bit 8 causes the processor to ignore the console Break key.
•Clearing bit 8 causes the processor to interpret Break as a command to force the router into the ROM monitor mode, halting normal operation.
Break can always be sent in the first 60 seconds while the router is rebooting, regardless of the configuration register settings.
Best regards,
Alex

Hi,
May be this is right answer.
What i assumed is "Disable break key means it won't allow break during normal operation" however break key is always an option during first 60 seconds"
Is it? Please confirm.

Mahesh
