configure Nexus 5548 in a Cisco 6500 core setup

Hi all,

I have to configure a Nexus5548 vPC pair in 6500 core setup.

I've done the vPC setup. the intervlans are on the 6500.

I have a static route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 to hsrp address in the core.

But now i have 2 nodes on the nexus switches, who should talk with each other.

But they have to pass the core first. how do i avoid that. Do i create svi's on the nexus switches and add static routes or ?

PS. Please don't yell at me, I am a novice in nexus.

Hi,

Are they in different vlan? Do you have layer 3 module on the N5K? N5K is layer 2 box, inter vlan routing is not supported without the module.
