Configure PIM on WS-3750X

Hello everyone,

I have switch WS-C3750X-48. It runs the IOS version Version 12.2(55)SE5 (C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M).

I enbale ip multicast-routing distributed, but I cannot enable multicast/pim on any SVI in configuration mode. PIM sparse or dense modes are not allowed, they are not there. "ip pim passive" is the only option that I have. But I can enable multicast without an issue under any other L3 interface (no switchport) on the same switch.

What am I missing?

Hi,

. If you need PIM for an SVI uplink port, you should upgrade to the IP services feature set.

eg:

C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
