Configuring L2 switch as a dhcp client

I am trying to build a remote connectivity to a set of standard devices to be configured for implementation and there is a requirement for a switch, firewall, VPN concentrator...etc to have an ip to be accessible remotely. The ip addresses will be leased from firewall acting as DHCP server. Can I have a switch to dynamically recieve an IP address from the DHCP server..? Can someone tell me if this could be done...?

It depends on the switch. The command is ip address dhcp on the VLAN interface. The DHCP server must be on the same VLAN, or must be helped by the router. But my old 2912XLs and 2950s will not accept the command.
