Can you please help me to finalize my connection setup. I have 3550 cisco switch and 2 2950 and 1 2960 switch and also 2 server with 1 gig NIC.

I will connect my 2 servers to GBIC slots of 3550 and connect 3 switches using cross cable to the 3550 using different IP's.Is this possible? is there any impact or problem? any suggestion please.

Can i use cascading 3550 switch to 2950 then connect 2nd 2950 using cross cable then another connection from 3rd 2960 switch using cross cable.

3550 switch

any suggestions please.

Yes you can do this though I have never been a big fan of cascading stuff , a star setup works better and is easier to troubleshoot problems on . I would make a small management subnet to use for manageing the switches themselves and normal addressing for your vlans that you would need .
