Have you made sure that the image that you are sending meets the DRAM and flash requirement for the router.

Here are two options that we can try :

1. Try using " xmodem -r c3745-ipvoice-mz.123-22.bin " command and check if that works.

2. Try using a small file probably an IP base image using the xmodem and once the router is up then you can TFTP the required image back to the router.

HTH,Please rate if it does.

The error is indicating that it can not access flash. I would suggest that before you do anything else that you check the flash and make sure that it is correctly seated. It sounds to me like there is a physical issue with accessing flash.

Yes Rick;

Seems that the flash is corrupted; since the router does not fully load and keep reloading.

..

however once i do this using xmodem the following is happend:

*****

rommon 19 > xmodem -c c3745-ipvoice-mz.123-22.bin

Do not start the sending program yet...

dir: cannot open device "flash:"

WARNING: All existing data in flash will be lost!

Invoke this application only for disaster recovery.

Do you wish to continue? y/n [n]: y

ERR: Not enough memory to download image

****

however i will try to replace the flash.

but anyway i will still use the Xmodem to load the new image ,, am right??

is there another faster way to do this?

Thanks

My theory is that the flash is no longer properly seated. If that is true and you re-seat the flash, then it is likely that the image that was in flash before will be in flash again and there will not be a need for Xmodem.

If there is actually no image in flash then you will need something like Xmodem. I would suggest that you check and see if that router supports tftpdnld in rommon. If it is supported it will be much faster in loading the image than Xmodem.

tftpdnld is not supported on 3700 its only on 3800. And as Rickk has suggested check if your flash is seated properly, and more you could try xmodem -r to load the IOS without the flash getting in way.

Thanks;

i will try to seat the flash again; if this i'll use xmodem to copy the image.

Waleed.
