I have a WS-C6506-E how CORE. I have a supervisor engine VS-SUP2T-10G and card WS-X6816-10GE.
CORE#show module
Mod Ports Card Type Model Serial No.
--- ----- -------------------------------------- ------------------ -----------
1 16 CEF720 16 port 10GE WS-X6816-10GE SAL1736CJG3
2 24 CEF720 24 port 1000mb SFP WS-X6824-SFP SAL1741E0T0
3 48 CEF720 48 port 10/100/1000mb Ethernet WS-X6848-GE-TX SAL1740DNVU
5 5 Supervisor Engine 2T 10GE w/ CTS (Acti VS-SUP2T-10G SAL1741E42N
Could to create VSS with WS-X6816-10GE throughout etherchannels or only with the Supervisor Engine? And if is possible with two options what would be the difference?
Attach the informations where say that is possible with supevisor VS-SUP2T-10G and card WS-X6816-10GE.
Thanks in advance,

Not sure i understand. You have already included an attachment which shows that that the WS-X6816 can be used for the VSL so why are you asking if it can be used ?
In terms of which to use Cisco recommend using the onboard supervisor ports and then if you need further bandwidth you can use additional ports from your linecard. See this configuration guide for more details -

Hello,
Yes to both questions. Requirement for VSS is 10Gb capability which you have in the SUP and line-card, as stated, Cisco recommend using the 10Gb uplinks from the SUPs. I think this is a very common practice!
Hope this helps.
