As you are using multicast application you can configure Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping on the Catalyst 2960 switch, which includes an application of local IGMP snooping, Multicast VLAN Registration (MVR). You can also configure IGMP filtering for controlling multicast group membership and you can also configue IGMP throttling action. With the IGMP throttling feature, you can set the maximum number of IGMP groups that a Layer 2 interface can join.
