Since you need to upload the file via xmodem (read: VERY SLOW). I recommend getting the smallest .bin available in CCO and get the device back into a running IOS. Once you have a running IOS, you can use .tar

.tar files are bigger in nature and you need to get this device up and running.

Try playing around with the Baud rate in Hyperterminal

Change console cable

Try rebooting the switch one more time

Try with another workstation.

maybe you could try boot from usb as Leo Laohoo mentioned in https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2213270?tstart=0

Won't work, Thomas, because the appliance is a 3750G and this model doesn't have a USB.  The only method is via XModem, as what Edison has recommended.

Kamram,

When you entered the command "copy xmodem: flash:c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin" what else did you do?

Did you do this:  From the top of the HyperTerminal window, choose Transfer > Send File.

My machine is on the network does it make any difference ?

Kamran,

Are you using a USB-to-serial?

New Member

no its normal console cable

"No response from remote system"

This error message means the computer where the IOS is stored is not responding or sending the file.

Try a different computer.

Leo,

Did you use this command:  "set BAUD 115200"

Note the word "BAUD" has to be entered in ALL CAPS.

New Member

Deleted flash:

thanks it has changed:

but i could see the "baud=9600" as well which i changed it before when i issue set command.

does it matter to have this or how do i remove it ?

many thanks.

Hall of Fame Super Gold

Deleted flash:

To remove, the command is "unset BAUD".

does it matter to have this

It's all up to you.  If you maintain the default value of 9600 then it'll take, A MINIMUM, of 5 hours to push the BIN file.  If you set the baud rate to 115200, then it'll likely take 55 minutes.

I could see two values:

baud=9600

BAUD=115200

is it ok or i should remove the first one ?

many thanks.
