Re: Deleting vlan Database on 6500 running IOS

Hi:

do a "dir all-files"

Find the directory where the vlan.dat file is found and delete it.

example:

del nvram:vlan.dat

Re: Deleting vlan Database on 6500 running IOS

Jon,

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

All appeared fine but the command won't work. The code I'm running is s72033-ipservicesk9-mz.122-18.SXF5.bin

bkbb-rp01#erase const_nvram:/vlan.dat

^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

bkbb-rp01#dir con

bkbb-rp01#dir const_nvram:

Directory of const_nvram:/

1 -rw- 0 vlan.dat

129004 bytes total (129004 bytes free)

Jeremy

Just try

6500# erase const_nvram:

If that doesn't work

6500# erase ?

do you get the option to erase the const_nvram: ?

Jon,

This first command was the good one.

I just needed to set my vtp mode to server.

Thanks a lot
