I want to implement a number of virutal machines on one of the servers within the blade server. I also want the virtual machines to have access to different vlans. I have configured the Cisco switch that feeds the server interfaces as a layer 2 switch. How can I implement this set up?
You need to make the port connecting to the VMware a trunk port since you are going to carry multiple vlans on that interface. In a VMWare environment you usually need a service console vlan, a VMotion vlan and a production vlan.
