Hi, I hope someone can help, we are deploying EMC's SRDF product to replicate data across our DR site, one requirement from EMC was for us to configure specific VLANS for the IP traffic to be then routed across the WAN, has anyone deployed this using MDS switches and 6500's, this is a common deployment, is it better to configure the ports MDS-6500 as layer 2 ports (vlans on the 6500) or as layer 3 ports (/30 subnets) for each of the 4 links connecting the MDS to the 6500, thank you very much.
