Design / Switch / Change Management

Dear all,

It's my first time here

Well, here we go.

SCENARIO: Due some VLANs IP addresses exhaustion, we have to reconfigure one site in terms of the VLANS.

I have to move some stacks of Switch (SW) working with two VLANS (Data and Voice) to another two VLANS (Data and Voice)

DHCP is in use.

It's not that hard, ok

PROBLEM: The customer is not aware about the list of the static IP addresses on site, therefore once we move the SW to use different VLANs, and we therefore have to change

QUESTION: Does anybofy know how to allow to work an Staic IP address (the statis IP i assigned to  certaiun host), connected to a Access port which belongs to another VLAN (via swichport access vlan XX)?

hope u guys understand

Thanks a lot

If I understand you correctly, you are moving your users that use static IP from one subnet/vlan to another.  If that is the case then the end users need to changed their IPs.

Or are you moving the same subnet/vlan to a different switch?
