Hi All Experts!
Need help to configure DHCP!
Configuration:
VLAN 1.
Switchport 1 accessed
Address 192.168.7.252/24 attched DHCP Server with address 192.168.7.20/24
VLAN 12.
Switchport 2 accessed
Address 192.168.12.1/24 attached a PC with address 192.168.12.10/24
I've changed Configuration as following:
VLAN 12
ip helper-address 192.168.7.20
DHCP is configured to reserve ip address to PC based on PC's MAC 192.168.12.10
problems are:
- PC cannot receive IP Address!!!.
- When I Asign static IP address to PC, I can ping DHCP server (192.168.7.20) successfully.
Can you tell me why and how to config the switch.
DHCP server can asign address to PC.
I'm just a newbie!
Thanks all!

Hi
This sounds more like a DHCP server issue than a switch issue. If you can statically assign an IP address to the PC and then ping the DHCP server it sounds like routing etc. is working.
Can you send switch config.
Also, which type of DHCP server are you using and are there any logs that would point to what is going on.
