DHCP relay agent security problem

Hi

I wolr in a service provider we have a lot of ADSL users

We use DSLAMs that are acting L2

All Dslams are connected to a switch and switch is connected to a router

This router is acting as a DHCP relay agent and pass DHCP request to a centeralized DHCP server

We have a very big probelm with some users that incorrectly set static IP address for their computers while thay should get IP from DHCP server

This make one IP bind ti 2 differnet MAC addresses

User A assign statc IP on his PC while DHCP has give that IP to another users

How can we stop it and do not let users to set static IPs and force them to use DHCP

Re: DHCP relay agent security problem

This issue due to fualty equipment and you will also be receiving error message if a single PC sends the data from two different MAC address on a single port.
