Hi,
We are using DHCP server, and on Switches 2960 and 3560 DHCP snooping is not enabled. Should we enabe the DHCP snooping, will it cause any performance issue. If the switches are operating with average traffic and utilization.
Please share the experience

As far as i know DHCP snooping is implemented in hardware on these switches so there should be minimal additional overhead on the main CPU. You do need to be aware of the limitations on the DHCP snooping binding database though because nvram and flash are limited, see the guidelines in the following link -

Hi Subodh,
It should not cause any performance issues as the DHCP snooping contains the MAC address, IP address, lease time, VLAN info only for the local untrusted interface.
