Difference between version and mode

Hi,

What is the difference between VTP Version 2 and VTP V2 mode?

I saw this when I execute "show vtp status" which shows the following;

VTP Version : 2

VTP V2 Mode : Disabled

TIA

Re: Difference between version and mode

Hi Medan,

The version on the first line shows that switch is capable and support VTP version 2 but MODE indicates the current version it is operating on and if it is disable means switch is curretly not working on VTP version 2.
