Difference in PAGP/LACP

Hi,

Can any one tell me what is the difference between PAGP and LACP ether channeling , except PAGP is a cisco propreitory protocol and LACP is open protocol.

Any help would be highly aprreciated.

With PaGP, you have a limitation of 8 ports per channel while with LACP, you can configure up to 16 ports per channel with 8 ports being active and the remaining ports on standby.
