Dns Configure Problem 2821 router

Hi

Can someone help and  tell me how can i configure dns to work redundancy .

my Q is that i need to config dns service on two  2821 . hostname +2 ip address when the first ip address inactive the name will go to the second ip address.i don't have domain in the network .

my config (show the paint attach)

SITE A :

ip dns server

ip name server 192.168.1.10 (site a)

ip host "cisco" 192.168.1.1 192.168.11.1

SITE B :

ip dns server

ip name server 192.168.11.10 (site b)

ip host "cisco" 192.168.1.1 192.168.11.1

i have translate when i ping cisco = 192.168.1.1

but when i disconnect the server on site a (192.168.1.1) and ping cisco 192.168.11.1 (site b) no ping/translate  replay.

help ?

Hi,

If you can't ping from from site A to site B, you have a routing issue.  You need to fix the routing first, so you can actually ping the second DNS on site B and vice versa.  You can use static or dynamic routing protocol to fix the routing.

I find that a router can't give me this topology . I usad micro dns server and it work okey.
