dns resolution issues - internet names resolving to spanish sites

Hi all

This maybe a little off topic but someone may be able to help me here!

I have just installed a cisco firewall and can now surf the web on it, I am based un UK, and the Public IP is in the UK. However when I try to go to google.com, or yahoo.com etc, they are all defaulting to yahoo.es or google.es

why would this be happening ? we are using public dns servers, I have tried a different number of them, but no difference, any ideas ?

Carl

Hi There

I have figured this out, I have done a whois on my IP and it os owned by a spanish registry, so google and yahoo autosense this and redirect me to the .es pages.

My question is, can I contact my ISP who owns this IP and have them change this?
