I added a vlan(e.g. vlan6) into my cisco switches, but the vlan is hidden, non-routable, for my DOS machines.
all DOS machines are running netbeui to communicate to a gateway server with 2 network card teams, one sitting in the DOS VLAN(vlan6), the other into my office network, which is routable.
I am using HP teaming to group the network cards to go into each VLANs separately, ie. vlan6 and office vlan(vlan 20).
my problem is, some of the DOS machines is able to talk to the gateway server, while some cannot. they are located randomly across different switches. but when those DOS machines are connected into the office VLAN(vlan 20) they are able to talk to the gateway server.
