Downgrading IOS from 15.0x to 12.2x on C2960S

I'm planning to downgrade the IOS from 15.0(2)SE2 to 12.2(55)SE8 on C2960S.

Please advise if any concerns.

I would suggest to stay on 15.x code unless you encountered a bug in the current code because 12.2(X) is already towards the end of maintenace,  you are not expected to see any more releases in the same train.

Re: Downgrading IOS from 15.0x to 12.2x on C2960S

I'm planning to downgrade the IOS from 15.0(2)SE2 to 12.2(55)SE8 on C2960S.

Please advise if any concerns.

I disagree.  15.0(2)SE2 has a lot of CPU Hog bugs which wasn't fixed until 15.0(2)SE4.

IOS version 12.2(55)SE8, by far, is the best IOS versions ever written.

All of my 2960/G/S are running 15.0(2)SE4 while all my 3750/G/E/X are running 12.2(55)SE8.

My 3750G/E/X initially were running 15.0(2)SE2 and I downgraded them to 12.2(55)SE8 because of the bugs that seem to severely affect this series of switches.
