Is it possible to set up dual ethernet connections to the LAN on a router? I want to do this without configuring two IPs. All the LAN gear will still need to point to one GW. Also, the two ports can be connected to the same switch for this config. Thanks.

You can use IRB (Intergrated Routing & Bridging) to achieve this. Be aware though that one of the links to the switch will block due to STP -

Possible option might be to use Etherchannel.

Does anyone know if a IAD 2431 supports Etherchannel?
