Hi Alex,

I believe that the Dying Gasp should be available across a wider platform set but unfortunately, I was not able to find any specific document for 6500 series Catalysts. In any case, for Ethernet-based cards on Catalyst 6500, the relevant support would actually be the Ethernet OAM, specifically, Remote Failure Indication (RFI). This document describes it in more detail:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/cether/configuration/guide/ce_oam.html#wp1053845

I've got a feeling that the prerequisite for this are line cards that support Ethernet OAM. As I said, though - I couldn't find any particular document for that.

Best regards,
Peter
