Re: Dynamic VLAN (vmps)

I think with the VMPS, you can dynamically assign switch ports to VLANs based on the source Media Access Control (MAC) address of the device connected to the port. When a loss of connectivity occurs between a VMPS client and a VMPS, the VMPS reconfirmation can fail and produce the DVLAN-2-MACNOTRECONFIRMED error message.

For more information on Dynamic VLAN (vmps) please clicks following URL:

Re: Dynamic VLAN (vmps)

Tanks for your answer...I know the document you sent me...BUT:

I don't get the DVLAN-2-MACNOTRECONFIRMED error message. The VMPS client can find the VMPS server ! I do see messages like:

01:00:54: VQPC PAK: xmt transaction ID = 0x00000005

01:00:54: VQPC PAK: sending query to VMPS

01:00:54: VQPC PAK:

01:00:54: VQPC PAK: rcvd packet from VMPS

01:00:54: VQPC PAK: transaction ID = 0x00000005

01:00:54: VQPC: rcvd response, transID = 0x00000005

01:00:54: VQPC PAK: VLAN name TLV, vlanName = default

01:00:54: VQPC PAK: Cookie TLV, cookie = 000b.cde3.855f, length = 6

Why do they appear ?

HELP !!
