E0 line up, protocol down

Need urgent help/suggestions - how can i get the E0 protocol up again

show ip int brief output

se0 line up, protocol up

e0 line up, protocol down

the e0 interface connect to a switch with a rj45 connection

Hi

Check

1) The cable and that is connected properly at both ends.

2) The switch port has been enabled and is not in shutdown mode.

3) The speed and duplex settings. Either set both ports to be auto/auto or hardcode the same settings on either end.
