easiest way to format flash-copy image to another router

Greetings,

I have a 2911 router that is giving me the errors below.  I think the flash may be bad, but I"d at least like to give it another shot and I'm guessing formatting is the way to go....My questions is: I have another, identical 2911 that works.  Is there an easy way to pull it from the good one and copy it down to the bad?  thanks

This error message tells me two things:  Either the CF media is faulty or the CF slot/port is faulty.

Compact Flash1: Not present

This tells me the appliance has two (2) CF slots.  What happens if the CF is loaded here?

Thanks for looking at my question.

If I put it in the router with 2 slots it seems to recognize it--so the card would seem to be good.

However if I take the card from the working router and put it in the faulty one, that also works, so it doesn't seem like it would be the slot.

That's good news if the CF slot isn't faulty.

Go to your favorite camera/electronics shop and get some CF cards.  And when I say "cards" I meant PLURAL noun.

Get different brands and varieties and test it in the router.  If they are not "detected" then the cards are of no use.  If they are detected then use the router to format the cards.

hi,

could you try to format the CF and load again the IOS?
