EIGRP and static routes

I currently have a route that is known by EIGRP redistribution.

sh ip route 192.168.3.32

Routing entry for 192.168.3.32/27

Known via "eigrp 65204", distance 170, metric 63232, type external

Redistributing via eigrp 65204

Last update from 10.33.94.222 on GigabitEthernet1/4, 18:25:55 ago

Routing Descriptor Blocks:

* 10.33.94.222, from 10.33.94.222, 18:25:55 ago, via GigabitEthernet1/4

Route metric is 63232, traffic share count is 1

Total delay is 210 microseconds, minimum bandwidth is 44247 Kbit

Reliability 254/255, minimum MTU 1500 bytes

Loading 1/255, Hops 1

I'd like to add a static route to the same destination using a higher administrative distance.

ip route 192.168.3.32 255.255.255.224 10.10.11.149 220

This is to be used as a backup in case of the other route via EIGRP fails. Would this work?
