cisco 2970 is Layer 2 Managed Ethernet Switch.

since it is not a layer 3 switch, it is not possible to configure inter-vlan routing on it.

since 2970 is a layer 2 switch, you won't find "ip routing" command on to it.

Hi friend,

As posted earlier the 2970 is a layer 2 switch and hence does not support inter vlan routing.

You should consider using a 3550,3560,3750 or

above for inter vlan routing
