Hello,
i want use CACTI for monitor my bandwidth so i have a question how can i enable snmp for a switch port ? or i shoudl just enable snmp from configuratiopn terminal and then in CACTI i will choose which port will be monitor?
can i do something that CACTI connect to my switch with a encryption key ?
i have cisco 2960 48 port switch,

You enable an,p for the whole device. Then you have CACTI poll the device, then you choose which interfaces you want to poll and pull the bw stats for.
Cacti supports snmp v3

Hi,
Cacti is a intelligent monitoring tool, so once you done with snmp configuration in your switch. Then give that snmp string in the Cacti tool which will be monitoring the switch and its interfaces.
Once you done the above it start fetching the data from the switch including interfaces.
Then you can choose which interfaces do you want monitor based on requirement.
