Re: enable snmp for a switch port

You enable an,p for the whole device. Then you have CACTI poll the device, then you choose which interfaces you want to poll and pull the bw stats for.

Cacti supports snmp v3

enable snmp for a switch port

Hi,

Cacti is a intelligent monitoring tool, so once you done with snmp configuration in your switch. Then give that snmp string in the Cacti tool which will be monitoring the switch and its interfaces.
Once you done the above it start fetching the data from the switch including interfaces.
Then you can choose which interfaces do you want monitor based on requirement.

Hope the above will understand you and clear.
