Enabling Multiple context in Cisco 6500 and moving config from Admin context
I have a task to do;
In Cisco 6509, 1 FWSM is already placed working in Single Mode configuration.
I have added another FWSM module to same chassis.
Now the work to do is;
Enabling Multiple context mode on both of the modules. (since new Module doesn’t have any configuration yet, so easy to do it, however on existing live line card, configuration might get misaligned. Theoretically, after re-boot, current configuration would be moved to newly auto configured “admin context”
But, I would like to create new context and move the config to it.
What should I do, making new context and allocate interfaces and thus copying configuration to it from Admin context will work????
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
