Hi all,

We've configured etherchannel on 4 interfaces. 2 interfaces are up and 2 are down.

we have the following message when trying to enable the interface:

7w3d: %PM-SP-4-ERR_DISABLE: diagnostics error detected on Gi2/43, putting Gi2/43 in err-disable state

how can i solve this problem

Hi,

This usually indicates a Spanning Tree issue. Not sure if you have a looped network or not (to make sure that its fault-redundand).

What are the devices connected to it? If its a server then, probably the server is Teamed ?

In any case, if you have a PortFast Enabled on the interfaces, I guess this shows up sometime (cant recall the exact cause in my case).

Could you please paste the switch config of the concerned ports please/

regards

Hi,

on each 4 ports and each 2 switchs, we have the following config

interface GigabitEthernet2/XX

switchport

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport trunk native vlan 600

switchport mode trunk

no ip address

channel-group 1 mode on

2 ports are UP, the 2 others are DOWN

Try re-seating the module.

If you reload the switch you might see diagnostic failure on the ports.

I have RMAed some WS-X6148-GE-45AF and 6548 modules do to this.

Hi wilson,

We've seen so many causes of %PM-SP-4-ERR_DISABLE in your document.

However, we cannot find "%PM-SP-4-ERR_DISABLE: diagnostics error detected"

if you have some url or doc concerning this, would you like to post it?
