When setting up a GRE tunnel between two 2801 routers, the tunnel establishes and encrypts traffic, however when debugging crypto outputs the router fails to display any output, and a show crypto isakmp sa only intermittently displays the correct information. Could this be a bug? The router runs
With only a vague description of the problem it is difficult to say whether it is a bug or not. When you say that the tunnel establishes and encrypts traffic, are you saying that the IPSec VPN is working or is not working?
It would be helpful to know what crypto debug you were running to help us understand why it did not produce any output. And another question is whether it really did not produce output or whether it is a question that the output was not sent to your session. Is it possible that the output was sent to the logging buffer but not to your session? This is a very common situation where people have the symptom of no output from debug.
