Ether channel accross stack members on 3750G

Hello Everyone

I am going to be reconfiguring our ISCSI SAN environment.  Currnently the SAN is configured on the same switch.  I have 2 older 3750G switches and want to isolate our storage environment from everything else so I can use these switches for SAN only.

My question is about how to use these 2 switches.  From what I have read i can do cross member etherchannel using LACP.  The switches will be trunked to an EMC san VNXe.  Is there any downside to LACP across stack members?  Will I still get active active load balancing?

See attachement for proposed design

Thanks

Hi Jason,

As long as the switches are stacked, your design will work fine with Etherchannel using LACP.

Cross stacking is one of the benifit of having a 3750 vs other switches that don't support stacking.
