Etherchannel bundle btw 2 x Sup720 and 2 x WS-X6724-SFP

hi,

I've 2 x 6509-E chassis. Each chassis has the follow modules:

slot1: WS-X6724-SFP

slot5: WS-Sup720-3B

I would like to create a dot1q etherchannel bundle btw the two chassis using the Sup720-3B & line cards.

However, when i check the buffer & Queue spec. on Cisco docs, the Sup720 has a Tx:1p2q2t Rx:1p1q4t and the WS-6724-SFP has Tx:1p3q8t Rx:2q8t(with DFC3).

Can i etherchannel bundle two modules with different hardware queue & buffer?

Thanks,

K.H.See

Hi

You can bundle these together, but no QoS unfortunately. Even if you just configure the port-channel for mls qos trust it will bring the ports down due to the mismatch in queuing/buffers.
