Etherchannel load-balancing difference between VSS and Stackwise

Hi together,

following scenarios, nearly the same, pure L2-Network

source is single attached, and destinations are behind a multichassis-etherchannel

Load-Balancing-algorithm is Source and Destination IP

assuming IP-address for Destination1 is odd and for Destination2 is even,

and source is generating two streams, one for each destination

Source-----[Switch1]------------------------ Link 1 ------------|

               |

           Stackwise                                (Etherchannel 1)----Destination1+Destination2

               |

           [Switch2]------------------------ Link 2 ------------|

Source-----[Switch1]------------------------ Link 1 ------------|

               |

              VSS                              (MEC Etherchannel 1)----Destination1+Destination2

               |

           [Switch2]------------------------ Link 2 ------------|

I assume

in the first scenario (3750 Stack) one stream is running via link 1 and one via link 2, correct)

in the second scenario (VSS) both streams are running via link 1, correct ?

that would mean that for such a scenario the load-distribution of the traffic accros the links is much better if building it up with 3750-stack than VSS ?

Next consideration to do the same with L3 in between. In this case I assume the load-ditribution will be the same for both scenarions done by ECMP, ist this assumption correct ?
