Hi
Can you run etherchannel with spanning tree enabled ?

in etherchannel you are making the logical bundle of the multiple channel so here they are not working as the seperate redundant link... so there is no issue of the loop prevention...

So there is no need to enable spanning tree ?

EtherChannels "bundle" ports. You'd do this to increase bandwidth. SO just like single ports Ethernet Channesl can also create loops, and can run STP as a "collective" i.e not for each port within the channel.
