etherchannels, cisco to forigate 4x1gb portchannels, only two joining in.

Hello,

Has anyone experience this.. I have a Cisco 6513 with 4x1gb interfaces going to a Fortigate firewall.  We have added all interfaces to channel-group 256.

However a "show etherchannel 256 detail" shows a etherchannel 256 and 256A?????

If I look at the interfaces in 256A, they show packets output, but not input.   The interfaces in channel-group 256 show both input and output.  Clearly something is amiss here.  Why would it create a channel-group 256A?? and why would there be packets input and not output on this channel-group.. See the output of a "show etherchannel 256 detail" below:

Try  shutting down the port channel SVI , this will shutdown all ports in the channel group Then do a no shut which will bring all back up at the same time. If you tried adding them 1 at a time a lot of times it won't come up correctly .
