evc framework, mstp

Hello everybody!

I have the following setup (see diagram).

All 4 switches are in one MSTP region.

To split the network into 2 parts with "stp triangles" I made 2 instances:

1:10-49

2:50-99

Now i need to connect two vlans (ie 10 and 50). I made on R1 the following:

service instance 10 ethernet

  encapsulation dot1q 10

rewrite ingress tag translate 1-to-1 dot1q 1000 symmetric

  service-policy input POLICE1M

  bridge-domain 1

!

service instance 50 ethernet

  encapsulation dot1q 50

rewrite ingress tag translate 1-to-1 dot1q 1000 symmetric

  service-policy input POLICE1M

  bridge-domain 1

!

service instance 1000 ethernet

  encapsulation dot1q 1000

  bridge-domain 1

!

interface BDI1

Now I have the following questions:

1. I read in one presentation about EVC framework that "All incoming VLANs (outer-most or single) mapped to a bridge domain must belong to the same MST instance or loops could occur." As I'm new to EVC framework does this is an issue with my scenario 'cause connected VLANs are parts of different instances?

2. How I can introduce redundancy to this scheme, if RT1 crash? What can I do?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone?
