dear all,

AP_CS01_SPL#sh int g1/0/29

5 minute input rate 106000 bits/sec, 15 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 72000 bits/sec, 19 packets/sec

153679103 packets input, 73547440 bytes, 0 no buffer

Received 10583136 broadcasts (0 multicast)

from the above, i understood following.

5 minute input rate 106000 bits/sec, 15 packets/sec = " input rate on particular interface"

5 minute output rate 72000 bits/sec, 19 packets/sec = " ouput rate on particular interface"

what is the meaning of following lines:

153679103 packets input, 73547440 bytes, 0 no buffer

Received 10583136 broadcasts (0 multicast)

please correct me

raj

Hi Raj,

This means that the interface had 153679103 input packets (73547440 bytes) since last resetting the interface counters.

HTH,

Mohammed Mahmoud.
