Failed in state 0 - error when booting with dual Sup 2

Attempting to build a 6509 with Supervisor 2s in module 1 & 2 - OS is

CatOS 8.5.2.

When powered on with both sups in place, the system keeps repeating "Failed in stat 0" and will not start. We moved the modules to a 6506 and it booted properly.

The 6509 will boot with a single Supervisor 2 in module 1. We suspect a hardware issue with the chassis - is there anything we should check before opening a TAC case?

What happens when you boot with one installed, allow it to load, then insert the second module.

If it stays up, issue the command :-

show module 2

to get some more details.

We had tried that. The switch stayed up, but didn't see module 2 at all - not listed when we did "show module"
