Dear all.
My office have 3 cisco-1720 routers,
connected to the WAN backbone by using WIC-1ADSL One ADSL port module.
Recently, the WAN backbone has been upgraded to Gigabyte/Fast Ethernet system.
So I'm looking for the fast ethernet module for 1720 routers.
Unfortunatelly, the catalog said only WIC-1ENET One 10 Base-T Ethernet module is available.
Please suggest the solution so we can still use these small and reliable routers.
TIA.

Hi amit & suresh.
I had read the refered manual too, but
I did not explain may question quite well.
Allow me to describe it again.
The 1720 router has:
- One built-in 10/100MBps Fast Ethernet port
- Two modular racks
The built-in fast ethernet has been connected to our LAN. On the other side,
one of the modular rack contains the ADSL module, which is connected to our WAN.
{ADSL WAN}-----------[(ADSL module)- 1720 - (10/100BASE-T)]----{LAN}
Now we want to connect to a fast ethernet WAN like this
{Fast Ethernet WAN}-----[(FastEthernet)- 1720 - (10/100BASE-T)]----{LAN}
Thus I need a "module", that should be inserted into the modular rack to replace the ADSL module.
Hope my problem is clearer now.
TIA

Hi,
There is a WIC-4ESW a 4 port 10/100 module avalable but is is only supported in 1721 routers and above. It is not supported on 1720.
The only solution you are left with is to use WIC-1ENET card or just go ahead and replace the router with a new 1800 series router.

Yes you can have Fast Ethernet ports, but not GB ports. Below link may clear your doubts.

Hope that helps.

Amit I posted my comments when I saw the orginal post b thinking that we wanted GB ports for ethernet connectivity.
I did not see his Second post which has posted after seeing your comments.
After seeing his second post I came to know that I misunderstood his problem.
