Fastest Routing Platform

Hi

In general is it faster to have routing enabled on a switch e.g 3560G or allow routing to be done on a router e.g 2850. I guess we also need to consider the link to the router, in my case its a 100Mbit Duplex Full.

Switch based routing will generally be faster as most traffic is fast switched in hardware.
