Filtering on switch ports

Is it possible to disable communication between two ports which are on the same broadcast domain? (catalyst 2950)

Hi

"switchport protected" command will do the job..

Configure this on each of the ports which u dont want to communicate..

Hi,

But please be informed that this 'protected ports' will not be communicating only if they are on same switch, i.e. 'switchport protected' has local significance to a switch only and not the whole domain/all the switches in the LAN.
