For eigrp on C6513s, can a static route be used for alternate gateway?

The confiuration question deals with two existingf Bldgs and one has the default gateway to the cloud.  A new path is to be established today for an alternate gateway to the cloud from other bldg.  Can static route be used with higher cost for the alternate path between bldg1 and bldg 3?.  See diagram attached.

If you're planning on keeping the existing default route and then adding your new route with your higher AD, then yes this would work. The primary default route will always be taken unless it goes down, in which case your higher AD default route would kick in.
