I have one networked equipment require a specific DHCP option (125) string to work.
I have created a DHCP pool, using option 125 string xxxxx. However, the option doesn't send at all. (using wireshark capture). I read somewhere that a DHCP option will send only when client requires it. Is this correct? I think the device doesn't ask for option 125 but it does need option 125 to be set. Is there a way to force the router (1941 running IOS 15.2.4) sending string or hex option?
