I replaced a faulty 3524XL switch last night with a new one (Same IOS Version/Same Config) and when I plugged in the GBIC and connected it to the other 3524XL switch (Same IOS Version) the link comes up and goes down. The only way I could get the link to stay up was to manually set the duplex of the ports to full. I tried swapping out the gbic and cable to make sure it wasn't one of those. The GBIC has green lights on both switches, but the module light is off. The connection goes from 1 on A to 2 on B. The IOS version is 12.0(5)WC14.
